Accessibility Information

The Brightlingsea accessibility map is a list of local businesses, organisations, events and activities in Brightlingsea and what they offer to support those living with disability, neurodiversity or other access needs. It is a joint venture led by Winterfest and supported by Brightlingsea Town Council.

Not everything for everyone all the time, but something for everyone some of the time. We recognise that different people’s access needs conflict with each other and that businesses, groups, organisations and events are limited by money, building restrictions, insurance and other factors. This piece of work is about highlighting and publicising the positives, not criticising the limitations. Visitors are encouraged to check out the listings below and then contact the individual business or organisation for further information as required.

The Brightlingsea Accessibility Map launches on Friday 15th May 2026 and will be slowly rolled out across the town over the next few months. If you would like to be included please email accessbrightlingsea@hotmail.com
